This sculpture was inspired by lupins. Each is made of tiny sections of paperclay mounted on a thrown conical base. Each section has been edged with copper oxide and then it has been finished with a clear glaze giving a glossy white finish with green highlights.
The fired clay is mounted on a steel rod which can be pushed directly into the ground.
This pieces is 85cm high and the clay bloom is 25cm tall.
The steel rod on this piece is slightly off centre - this does not show once it is pushed into the ground but this has been reflected in the discounted price.
