This sculpture was inspired by the spherical pom pom dahlias in my garden.  It is made of lots of tiny hand sculpted pieces of porcelain paper clay mounted on a thrown porcelain base.  The edges of the petals are glazed in a glossy clear glaze.
 
This sculpture is approximately 12.5cm in diameter and 3cm in depth.
